Quality of Life - Education

Educational opportunities are critical to the health and well-being of any community. There are no comparable indicators – if you have a school system that is remarkable, it speaks volumes about your area. The Norwalk area views a good education as essential and does not compromise on its commitment to success.

Without question, one of the greatest assets of our community is that we have outstanding public and parochial school systems, both recognized for their exceptional achievement in academics and athletics.

The Norwalk City School District recently received the highest honor a district can earn in the state of Ohio: Excellent with Distinction. This top honor means that the school system received an excellent rating and exceeded growth expectations for two consecutive years.

Norwalk and Monroeville highs schools are among seven that have been honored as "HSTW Pacesetter Schools" this year. These remarkable accomplishments come not only from a dedicated and hard-working administration and teaching staff, but also from the community’s devotion to a high-quality educational experience for all students.
